Tuesday 5 March 7C, blithering cold and rainy
First visit, Toyokuni Shrine......less than spectacular, Shinto shrine dedicated to Toyokuni Hideyoshi.
Nagoya castle and Hummaru Palace. Now I know what a Japanese castle looks like !! The palace part has exquisitely painted silk screens, the more important the room, the more elaborate the decoration.
Shirotori Garden......beautiful garden even in the pours of rain.......20 of us entered the garden, 17 went straight to the tea house !!!!!!!! The 3 of us got a lovely tour by the guide, some plum blossoms but no cherry yet.
